What you should look for when buying a boat.
1. What are you going to do with your boat? Example activities enjoyed on the water such as picnicking, entertaining, fishing or water sports.
2. How many people will be on the boat while you are boating?
3. How important is a comfortable ride across the water?
4. Are wake characteristics important for sports discipline such slalom wake (small) or wakeboard wake (large)? Slalom wake is generally a flat bottom boat which means small wake, rough ride and wakeboard wake means deep V hull which means big wake and smoother ride. Boats that try to do both wakeboard and slalom are generally called crossover boats. The better the slalom wake on a crossover boat the harsher the ride.
5. Performance and horsepower. The boat must be properly powered in the initial purchase adding horsepower is very expensive and nullifies warranties.
Once you have answered these questions you can move forward with other items regarding your boat purchase.
